"There are two kinds of people, those who say to God, "Thy will be done; and those to who God says, 'Thy will be done.'" C.S. Lewis (The Great Divorce) Sportyt - do read the notes on this verse! Also, I saw a great one liner on a church sign the other day that read: "GOOD without GOD is O" When we seek His kindgom and His way of doing things, Who will be at the "controls"? BUT - How often do we consider God in "our" plans? Read Mt 22:37 Jesus tells us that the greatest commandment is to "Love God." And yet, God can't make anyone love Him; loving God is a choice. When we choose to love God FIRST, everything else in our life will fall into its proper place. How do we love God? We obey; this pleases Him. He rejoices; He takes pleasure in our love; and the joy of the Lord is our strength! (especially when we encounter suffering for choosing His way! It is never wrong to do the right thing. We discover what is right and pleasing to God as we read His Word.) All this being said, I encourage you to seek His kingdom and His righeousness through careful study of God's Word! "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;" 2 Tim 3:16 Blessings, mommapbs |
