1 | Spiritual Maturity and Marriage | Matt 6:33 | stmaryr | 93668
In regards to my previous question regarding Spiritual Maturity and Marriage; I realize from the responses that I did not give enough detail. This is not the situation with a Christian marrying a Non-Christian. This would be a situation where the Maturer of the two in the relationship is the female, grew up in a Christian family and her family tree consists of the majority of everyone are Christian. The male has been a Christian for 2 years. Has attended church, bible study every day since his salvation. How may this affect the relationship and him being head of house, etc.? He still has a lot of self in him. This couple did research each of their responsiblities, from a biblical perspective, regarding their role as husband and wife prior to receiving a blessing to be engaged. |

2 | Spiritual Maturity and Marriage | Matt 6:33 | figgy | 93755
I had a similar situation. I had been a christian much longer than my husband when we got married a couple of years ago. I saw that he had a heart and desire to follow God's will in marriage. In addition, we are blessed to belong to a church with a community of believers who model biblical family and marriage. My husband has many awesome, christian men who constantly encourage and hold each other accountable in this area. I can't stress the importance of christian community for this couple. God Bless, Figgy |
