Jesus is saying that we should get our priorities straight. If we try for wealth in this world it can be destroyed or stolen in one way or another. But, if we set our treasure in heaven then it is safe for all time. So, in terms of material wealth we could ask: are you interested in being a millionaire or are you interested in saving people's souls from eternal destruction? | ||||||

dj, I love your question regarding our interests, whether to be a millionaire or a herald of the truth to a lost world. And your remarks sparked my imagination: what indeed would the effects be if every regenerate believer -- or even one in ten -- put half as much study, effort and sweat into witnessing for Christ as the contestants on the currently poplular game show put in in trying to become a millionaire! --Hank | ||||||
