Hi Dcmartin: This is not the righteousness of worldly things, such as justus in the law which the jews were seeking. But the righteousness of Christ himself, that he gives freely to those who seek Him, thirst for Him, hunger for Him, and salvation. And receive through the Holy Spirit, dwelling in us when we believe in the sufficiency of Christ being punished, 'Crucified' in our stead, for our sins, John 3:16 and are filled with the Holy Spirit. A righteousness that fills and satisfies, with peace, joy, and assurance of eternal life, so that no other righteousness will be sought by those who believe In Jesus Christ, and are saved from eternal damnation. What a blessing! Blessed are those, indeed! God bless John |
