I actually have four questions. I am doing an interpretation of the bible and am not able to get the information I need please bear with me. I will be asking four questions where I need to give an example of an eroneous view of each question and where a rule of interpretation was either ignored or broken and then also with each question I will ask I need to provide a more correct interpretation biblical interpretation and the correct application of the rules. the first question is as folows: What is a response to the interpretation of Acts 4:32-36 as an endorsement of a type of communal living as being normative for the christian church? My second question is what is a response to the belief that christians are still obligated to adhere to old testament rules regarding sacrifices, clothing and diet. My third question is as follows? what is a response or rebuttal of the belief, based on Galatians 5:1, that christians may ignore new testament commands as long as they feel that they are being led by the holy spirit? My fourth and Final question? what is a defense that the early christians might have given to pagans in Rome who mistakenly thought that Christ had instituted Cannibalism as a rite in the early church because of his words in John 6:53? Thank you for your help and time and please let me know soon if possible thank you. |

Scripture ... Eze 43-46; Matt 5:17, 15:11; 1Tim 4:3-5; Heb 9-10 ... God's day to you, tachminite and welcome to the SBF, You asked ... What is a response to the belief that christians are still obligated to adhere to old testament rules regarding sacrifices, clothing and diet? I have a post on the relation of Law and grace. Enter 13686 under Search on the upper right. Hebrews 9-10 shows Christ's sacrifice set aside the OT system. Ezekiel 43-46 describes sacrafices in the Millennial Temple. Jesus negated the Law on unclean food (Matt 15:11) and I believe restated by Paul (1Tim 4:3-5). Jesus didn't come to abolish the Law or the Prophets, but to fulfill it (Matt 5:17) ... by His life, death and ressurection. Searcher |
