Anyone have a good way to reconcile the account of the two robbers crucified with Jesus found in Matthew 27.44 and Luke 23.39-43? Matthew reports both reviled him and Luke begs to differ indicating that one of them sided with Jesus. | ||||||

The fact that at first both robbers taunted Jesus in Matthew does not change what Luke said that later one had a change of heart, saw the truth and repented. Isn't that the case in many conversions that weeks, days, hours or even minutes before some come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ they actually mocked Jesus? EdB |

EdB - this does seem to be the most plausible response to this issue. I do wish that Matthew had noted this also, but, alas, he did not. We will have to ask him about it when we see him. | ||||||
