Prayon, How would explain the accounts that say that both men reviled Jesus, and the account that says that only one of them did? |

Did both or only one of the thieves revile Jesus? 'Matt. 27:44 and Mark 15:32 say they both did. 'Luke 23:39-40 says that the one rebuked the other for his blasphemy. 'Probably at first they both did and then one of them repented, and, while the other was still reviling, rebuked him and asked the Lord to remember him. So he was saved. Luke doesn't say that the rebuking one had not at first been also reviling.
