2 | was the servant saved or lost salvation | Matt 25:30 | EdB | 136037 | ||
Some would say yes it does pertain to losing our salvation, others would say the servant was never saved. In any case Jesus said if you love me you will keep my commandments.John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments." We are commanded to go make disciples Mat 28:18-20. We are to His witnesses Acts 1:8, we are to love God and our neighbor Matthew 22:37-40 Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.' [38] This is the first and great commandment. [39] And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' [40] On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." This verse tells us if we love our neighbors and God and keep his commandment we are children of God. 1 John 5:1-3 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves Him who begot also loves him who is begotten of Him. [2] By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments. [3] For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome. If we keep our talents buried (failing to obey Jesus) and never used then doesn't that say we never really loved Jesus? EdB |
