Has anyone thought of the simple answer that a bridesmaid is not a bride. That is why she is called a bridesmaid and not a bride. She is a friend of the bride. Individually we are all bridesmaids, wise or foolish. The Church collectively, which includes the wise bridesmaids, is the Bride. Emmaus |
