1 | will the world end soon | Matt 25:13 | CDBJ | 17113
Look at II Thess. 1:6-8 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. The day of the Lord and the rapture are going to happen of the very same day. Look at the timing when the Lord comes with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God. When will this happen, when He shall come to be glorified in his saints, AT THE RAPTURE! Both events will happen on the very same day. The trib. Period is NOT the wrath of God, it is the wrath of Satan. Rev. 12:12 It is the devil's wrath. We won't go through God's wrath but we sure will suffer at the hands of the Antichrist. Compare: Rev 6:1-2 Mt 24:5 Mark 13:5-6 Luke 21:8 Rev 6:3-4 Mt 24:6-7 Mark 13:7-8 Luke 21:9-10 Rev 6:5-6 Mt 24:7 Mark 13:8 Luke 21:11 Rev 6:7-8 Mt 24:7-8 Mark 13:8 Luke 21:11 Rev 6:9-11 Mt 24:9-14 Mark 13:9-13 Luke 21:12-19 Mt 24:15-20 Mark 13:14-18 Luke 21:20-21,23 Mt 24:21-22 Mark 13:19-23 Luke 21:22-24 Rev 6:12-17 Mt 24:29-30 Mark 13:24-26 Luke 21:25-27 Rev 7:9-17 Mt 24:31-35 Mark 13:27-31 Luke 21:28-33 Do you think because all of these Scriptures match up that it just a coincidence? Do a little legwork; search the Scriptures, your future or that of your children might depend on it! I have nothing to gain by convincing you, but if you aren't ready for what's coming, you'll not be prepared when it gets here. You might not believe in the law of gravity, but if I were you I would check into it before jumping from a bridge. Yours in Christ, CDBJ |

2 | will the world end soon | Matt 25:13 | doug619 | 17251
Why is it that when we look at prophecy, we think it involves Gentiles????? The end times are about Israel and the Jewish people. Look at what Daniel said in his seventy-week prophecy........ Dan 9:25-27 25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. 26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. (KJV) The commandment to rebuild Jerusalem was given to Nehemiah by King Artaxerxes around 414 B.C. by our calender (Neh. 2). 62 weeks (434 years) later, Jesus died on the cross in 21 A.D. 7 Weeks (49 years) later the Romans detroyed the Jewish temple and eventually Judea ( or Israel) ceased to exist. 69 weeks have passed and the final week has yet to happen. What God did not tell Daniel was that there would be a 2000 year gap between the 69th and 70th week. This period would be known as " the times of the Gentiles". At some point in time, this period would end. The Gentile church would be removed and replaced by a Jewish church beginning with 144,000 (Rev. 7: 4-8). When would this happen?? Luke 21:24 24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled. (KJV) If we look in the history books, we will see that all of this has taken place. Therefore, the "times of the Gentiles" is almost over. Will the church be raptured before the Tribulation period begins????..............Absolutely!!!! II Th 2:1-8 1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. 7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: (KJV) In vs. 1, he speaks of the Rapture ("gathering together unto him"). In vs. 3, he speaks of a falling away or apostasy. This is happening right before our eyes. We have many denominations who claim to be Christian, but in fact are apostates. Some of these are Jehovah's Witness, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons), Christian Science, Unitarian Universalists, Roman Catholic church,etc.,etc.,etc. The remaining denominations such as Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, etc.,etc. spend much of their time fighting false doctrines that have ALREADY crept into their midst. The "apostasy" has arrived. In vs. 7, Paul finishes with this: " only he (the Church) who now letteth will let, until he (the Church) be taken out of the way". "and then shall that Wicked (Antichrist) be revealed" (vs. 8). Will the church be raptured?.......Absolutely! Will people be saved during the Tribulation?........Absolutely! (Rev. 7:9-17) Will Israel be saved by grace as we are?........... Rom 11:25-27 25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. 26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: 27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. (KJV) |

Thanks for the comment, but since when is the Church referred to as a he? The church is always in the feminine gender. The one who will be taken away is the protector of God's people. Daniel 12:1 Now at that time (when antichrist is revealed at the last half of the tribulation) Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. (taken out of the way) and there will be a time of distress ( the great tribulation) such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at THAT TIME your people, (all believers) everyone who is found in the book. ( book of life) will be rescued. ( the rapture, with out a doubt) This is just a thumbnail sketch. Look what happens when he is removed and antichrist has his way. Rev. 13:7 it is given to him to make war with the saints and this isn't just the Jews but every nation. Now if you say that it's the so called tribulation saints after the rapture then you are admitting that the tribulation is not from God but Satan; and once you start to see this we are making progress. Believe me I was the staunchest pre-tribulational believer going till these things were pointed out to me. I picked up a book called THE PRE-WRATH RAPTURE OF THE CHURCH by Marvin Rosenthal and he convinced me otherwise with Scripture after Scripture. I was amazed to say the least; and everything fit together like a puzzle with out contradictions. People get so entrenched because they have believed something so long that the can't see the forest for the trees. It's like trying to through a life jacket to a person who is drowning and all that person wants to do is argue over jacket, that it might not hold him up. I have nothing to prove either way; I wish you were right. Believe me I don't want to go through what the Bible says about the great tribulation, but what I know, I would die for, and if it happens in my time I might have too. The Lord is able to keep me through what ever pleases Him. Those that know what to look for will have a much better chance then those who were told that they would be rapture out of here before it, the tribulation happened. Christ said that those that endure to the end shall be delivered, i.e. The rapture. Why should we not suffer for Christ sake by holding to the testimony of Jesus. Rev. 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. (that the elect brother you and me) Yours in Christ, CDBJ |

CDBJ, Sorry i don't have time to respond to you in depth, but I have a lot of work outside of cyberspace right now. The church is referred to with a feminine pronoun because the greek word for church (Ekklesia) is a feminine word, and nothing more. Pronouns always match the nouns they are representing in gender number and case. However he that letteth (if that is to whom your are referring) is possibly the Holy Spirit. The Spirit, according to the pre-trib pre-mill position will be taken out in the sense that He will no longer restrain the evil of the Anitchrist. Concurrent with the Holy Spirit's removal is the removal of the church.
