1 | What's Jesus mean about war Matt. 24:6? | Matt 24:6 | T'oma | 196007 | ||
I heard somewhere that the words Jesus spoke in Matt. 24:6 really instruct us concerning wars - "not to make a public outcry against." I'm writing an editorial concerning the war with Irag. Please, does anyone know Greek well enough to express exactly Jesus instructed? Thank you for your reply. While opinions are always "welcome", I'm really looking for a translation. |

The Greek doesn't help ... It is usually wars Mar 13:7; Lu 21:9; Heb 11:34; Rev 9:7 Rev 9:9, 11:7, 12:7, 13:7, 16:14, 19:19, 20:8 but also 1Co 14:8 (battle) Jas 4:1 (quarrels) ... Iraq is a war, as there have been wars in the past and future. Do not think the end is near - while it could come today, it may not be for 100,000,000 years |
