1 | Is "the whole world" localized/ global? | Matt 24:14 | Searcher56 | 78845
Some say this passage only refers to the Roman world ... localized. I think I have proved otherwise.
2 | did He die for you also? | Matt 24:14 | philemcc | 78847
I would think that anyone who limited salvation to a Roman empire that they would have to define, would be very narrow minded. This would start a whole new theological debate. What constitutes the modern Roman empire, hence who is included or how could one become a citizen in good standing? Is this group of people determined by geography or heritage? It could go on and on in endless debate which would accomplish absolutely nothing except establish some as the undisputed authority over something of no importance. We, you and I and other believers, have a responsibility to be inclusive in our relationship to others, you know salt, light, love one another and all that stuff. We don’t have to prove others wrong we only need to do what Jesus said, “But I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself." We only need to say, “Jesus died for me did He die for you?” philemcc |
