3 | Apostles' Creed support the deity? | Matt 1:23 | forwwjd | 159838
Hank, Doc asked me what my position on the deity of Jesus was. I responded with scriptural support based on the Apostles' Creed. He responded that I did not believe in the deity of Christ. Therefore, I wanted to clarify the position that the Apostles'Creed supports the deity of Christ. I believe in the Apostles' Creed which is scriptually supported and therefore the deity of Jesus. Is this not the position of the forum as well? forwwjd |

forwwjd: Thanks so much for your response. And yes, absolutely, the position of this Forum is that denial of the deity of Jesus Christ or attacks on the authority of Scripture are prohibited and constitute cause for revocation of the user's privilege to post to SBF. Being a Bible study forum, there is no place on it for speculation, philosophical discussions, soap-boxing denominational biases, interpretation of dreams and visions (except as noted in Scripture), promoting cults and other heresies, etc. What this forum seeks to be is a source of sound exegesis of God's word. Period. It does not always live up to its name and mission, but the seasoned users of the forum certainly do their best to keep it on track and useful for all who visit here often or occasionally, as well as for the regulars who "live" here! I hope you will find it useful and will have occasion to contribute many good, scripturally-sound posts yourself. May I suggest that you begin with a little something in your user profile that will help the rest of us get to know you. You can use mine or another as a hint of some of the things you might like to include. --Hank
