The Old and New testaments are in fact not contradictory. OT is basically the events before the first coming of Jesus (claimed as the messiah) whereas the NT detailed the events that occur after the coming of Jesus. The promise of a Messiah is already envisaged by the prophets in the OT and is confirmed by Jesus himself in the NT. Hence, both parts (OT and NT) are not contradictory but is a continuous and consistent records of God himself and Jesus as the Savior. | ||||||
