I am also blessed to see the love of God for others, and to observe as they come to see God's love for them. I saw it again today with a 19-year old male. He was thinking this morning that no one cared for him and had decided not to get out of bed, but he came to church instead. When he learned how much God loved him, he wept. He decided then to repent of sin and to trust him, and it was wonderful to see. Please pray for Chris. I trust he will know from the start to the end that he has been saved from sin. |

You got it! Yes, it is thrilling to see others receive the Good News! I'd ask you to pray for my children, who know the Lord, but do not walk with Him. Thanks |

4 | Love God or Fear God? | Matt 1:21 | Ngop | 104625
MommaPBS, I followed your post exchange with Aizen7z2. And I ended up asking myself: Do I love God or Do I fear God. Do I do things because of love or fear of Him. I am a man. Surely, you are aware of the gender's weakness when it comes to analysing the heart issues. Is there really any difference? Would it really matter? A lot of verses say " Fear the Lord " although the 1st commandment says " Love God ". God Bless, Ngop |

5 | Love God or Fear God? | Matt 1:21 | DarcyA | 104626
Should be both. With love comes the fear. Did you love your parents? Is so, I'm sure you feared them too. You wouldn't do certain things cause of the fear. Alos if married same situation, You may fear to hurt your spouse. Darcy |

6 | Love God or Fear God? | Matt 1:21 | khuck | 104667
I really believe that it is not FEAR that the Bible is referring to but REVERENCE or RESPECT. I never feared my parents, but you better believe I had a healthy respect for their rules and I was aware of the retribution that would come when I disobeyed them. But if I truly feared my parents... I would not have gotten into so much trouble, I would have been too afraid of them to do anything wrong. (smile) -Kathy |
