1 | What does "send her away" refer to? | Matt 1:19 | John Reformed | 63503
Ed, Yes, I did mean to say copies of the autographa and not the original manuscripts themselves. Iwould also like to make it very clear that I believe the recreations of the original manuscripts that we have today are accurate and can be fully trusted as God's inerrant Word. But I don't ascribe inerrancy to translations of the Bible. This is by no means a criticism of our modern translations. I believe that they are wonderful examples of God's providence. However, they must yield themselves to the copies of the Greek and Hebrew texts. Do you know of any publisher or translator that claims inerrancy for their work? John John |

2 | What does "send her away" refer to? | Matt 1:19 | EdB | 63509
John I agree our translations are not inerrant, however I believe them to be divinely protected and so close to the original there is no need for worry. Unless we talk about the TNIV travesty committed by Zondervan EdB |
