Hi, Soldier... Yes, but the answer is a bit more complicated. Jesus was indeed of "her seed" in Gen 3:15. In order to share the human experience (Heb 4:15), God became man (Phil 2:6-11). Not only did He commit no sin in His life (1 Pet 2:22), since He was not of the seed of Adam (as you have noted, He was born of the Holy Spirit), He had no fallen nature (Rom 5:12). This allowed Him to be the perfect sacrifice (Heb 10:12). This is why the historicity of the virgin birth is so important to Christianity. Praise God, for He has done great things!
