In Caesarea-Philippi peter made a great confession and I would like to know what it was as I'm not sure if it was his confession of denying Jesus 3 times or confessing to thomas that he believed that Jesus had risen.

Greetings sistergirl, Peters confession was a confession of faith. Messiah (or Christ in some translations) means "Annointed One". By this confession, Peter stated that Jesus was uniquely annointed by the Holy Spirit to be God's King, Prophet, and Priest over humnanity. Peter recognized and publicly acknowledged that Jesus was the one that was promised to come throughout the OT. Only the Holy Spirit could so enlighted a person with such a divine knowledge. The living God was a OT name for Jehovah. prayon
