Welcome to the Forum CHo. Fatigue takes many forms. Sometimes we bring it on by what we do, sometimes it is the result of things we have no control over. Jesus said to them, "The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath." (Mk 2:27) When the fatigue is a result of our choices,I suspect God may use this as a "red flag" to capture our attention. When God is at work in us, and we are completely resting IN (relying upon Him only), fatigue may be present but it will not be an issue - "I can do all (ALL) things through Christ who strengthens me. (Phil 4:13) Jesus bids us to "Come unto Him." This is the only step we have to take. As we submit to Him, we find the rest that He promises to give. There are things that cause fatigue that we have no control over: illness, certain medications etc. The emotional and physical aspects of fatigue can be a "trial" of sorts to the one experiencing it. James instructs us to "consider it all joy . . . when we face trials of various kinds." (James 1:2) The joy of the Lord is my strength - He rejoices over us!(Neh 8:10;Is 62:5) We rely upon God for our joy and this strengthens us spiritually. When fatigue hits, "Be still and know that I am God." (Ps 46:10 see v 1 too) Think about what it means for you to "be still." REST. Allow God to speak to you in this still period. Look to Him to reveal things in your life that need to be changed. Trust Him to be at work in you. From personal experience, fatigue is a gift of sorts. Fatigue demands that we stop doing - and concentrate on "being." Blessing to you, mommapbs |
