1 | Did Jesus ever drink wine? | Matt 11:19 | Val | 215984
Dear MJH, Did you read the article by Norman Geisler. If he indeed wrote it the first sentence in which he says "Many wine-drinking [so-called] "Christians"" stopped me from caring to read the rest. It is this attitude that turns people off from the abstinence crowd. From last I heard salvation was by grace through Christ alone not whether a christian had a glass of wine with dinner. This attitude is the same attitude some of the Pharisees took with our Lord. A holier than thou attitude. It is very unbecoming especially for Mr. Geisler if he indeed wrote this article. |

2 | Did Jesus ever drink wine? | Matt 11:19 | MJH | 215986
Val, Forgot to mention. The link puts "so-called" in square brakets. This usually means the origianal word was replaced with a similar word. OR it wasn't in the original text but added by the editor later. MJH just trying to give the benefit of the doubt. |

Greetings MJH! Good observation! I did a little checking and found the 'quote' in question, and it did not contain the words 'so-called'. Apparently, that was added by the owner of the web page. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
