Hi, Brife! There are many Scriptures where we are warned that we, on our own will have nothing... Jesus is very pecular about who can be His disciples and who can be saved: Luke 14:26, 27, 33; John 8:31; 13:35; 15:8; Matthew 7:21-27; Luke 6:46; John 1:9-13; 3:16-21 "I am the vine, and you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will bear much fruit; for you can do nothing without me. Those who do not remain in me are thrown out like a branch and dry up; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, where they are burned. (John 15:5-6) As Jesus said in Luke 6:46, it is not about claiming salvation (Lord, Lord!)... it is about abiding (living) in Him and Him in us! If the branch does not remain on the vine, it will be removed and cast into the fire! God Bless! Angel |
