1 | Homosexual are picked on in the church? | Lev 20:13 | Morant61 | 177389 | ||
Greetings Journey me! I haven't had time to read all of the responses to your posts, so I may be repeating the points of others. However, I wanted to address some of your comments. 1) Why aren't homosexuals allowed to be Christians? Who has said that they can't be Christians? Scripture is clear that anyone who repents of their sins and calls on the name of Lord will be saved. The problem is that so many who engage in homosexuality want to be considered Christians without repenting of their sin. No one who refuses to repent can be saved, regardless of the nature of their sin! 2) Single ministers having sex! Maybe some are, but can we really make a broad statement and assume that they all are having sex? Perhaps your feelings are a result of your own personal experiences, but in my many years in the church I have never seen a church that singled out homosexuality to the exclusion of all other sins. I have seen some who would argue on the basis of Romans 1 that homosexuality might be the height of sin and arrogance, but they would still say that all sin is wrong. :-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Thanks Tim, I was asking about the repenting aspect of it. I do belive that it's a key part of being saved and being a Christian. Thanks for pointing that out and explaining it to me. Secondly the statement was broad regarding ministers, but not regarding sex outside of marriage. It does come from some personal experience as noted in my original comment. |
