I really appreciate you responding to my question. It helps to know that someone else has been through the same thing. I wrote a poem to the other person involved. UNTITLED There has only been two that caused my heart to flutter We started out as friends, but soon became lovers What you have in mind is quite tempting (quite) But my heart knows the words of another There are no strings involved Just the two of us But that can not yet be Your heart is still singing yet Another love song.... I have been where you are And it's nothing like being the other As much as I would like to be the one standing by your side The words of my other are more secure You are too busy trying to know Something that's not that important You are truly a temptation but I'll stay with my other lover. Awesome attitude. If you truly fall in love with Jesus, He will sustain you. Surround yourself with people that love the Lord. If you're not already in a good Bible based church find one and get involved. We need the Holy Spirit and the Bible to mature, but we also need each other. Even Jesus, the God Man, needed other people. We often see in the Bible that Jesus went away from the masses, but He most often took those most intimate with Him. The scene at the Garden of Gethsemmine, Jesus most difficult time on earth, He took the disciples with Him to be with Him and watch for Him. When they feel asleep you can sense in the words of the Lord His need for their fellowship. Even if you don't fall again into this type sin there are chances that you will probably fail in some other area. We all do from time to time. Satan will try to condemn you and make you condemn yourself. Don't fall for that. 1John 1:9 says that if we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to cleanse us from that sin. Confession is simply agreeing with God that what you have done is sin, thanking Him for paying for that sin and asking God to help you not to fall into that again. Remember, as a believer Jesus paid for all our sin past, present and future. God would not allow Jesus to pay for your sin, then require you to again pay for that sin by sending you to Hell. He may chastise us for our sin (Hebrews 12) but he will never condemn you. |
