Brother Mark, thank you for your response on the feast of tabernacles question. I agree that the Word should be taken literally. I guess this day and time that we live in there are so many voices out there, that I pray the Lord will continue to give me wisdom and not let me go astray. This is my first time on any forum and it was a spur of the moment question, one a friend of mine and I have been discussing and I just threw it out there, wondering, and disheartened, that anyone saw things as I did. There is much I feel the Lord has shown me, but I know in times like these, the prudent keep silent. God bless, and thanks. sunnyhills

Dear Sunny, Welcome to the forum! I hope that the "spur of the moment" becomes a visit of some duration! In order to help us so that we do not go astray, God has provided a number of wonderful things: 1. The Scriptures (2 Tim 3:16) to know what God has said 2. Regeneration (1 Corinthians 2:14) to enable us to understand spiritual things 3. The Holy Spirit (John 14:26) to illumine and instruct us in what the Scriptures say 4. The local church (Ephesians 4:11-13) where we can be edified and walk in unity together 5. Fellow saints (Romans 15:7) who can exhort, encourage, and strengthen us 6. Dead saints (2 Peter 1:15) who have provided a huge resource of material to aid our study "He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? (Romans 8:32)" Even those things that are needed to help us not go astray! :-) Note, that the prudent also ask questions and search the Scriptures. In Him, Doc |

3 | are we to observe all feast days? | Zech 14:16 | sunnyhills | 159631
do you think we should observe the feast days? why? or why not? This is a genuine question. I am not looking to debate, just truth. I have a good friend who says we must continue them, even though I know that Christ fulfilled them . She says that scripture says FOREVER, and that means FOREVER. Looking forward to your answers. God Bless sunnyhills |

4 | are we to observe all feast days? | Zech 14:16 | DocTrinsograce | 159632
Hi, Sunny... I'm uncertain what we would hope to accomplish by following the ceremonial law of the Old Covenant. The ceremonial laws forshadowed the Lord Jesus Christ... He has fulfilled what they sought to picture. I do not believe in antinomianism, but I think what your friend is wanting to be is a Judiaizer. Paul discusses much of this in his epistle to the Galatians. I hope that helps. In Him, Doc |

5 | are we to observe all feast days? | Zech 14:16 | sunnyhills | 159633
well, you are right Doc, my friend has started going to a messianic church recently, and I have given her all the scriptures, and she is aware of these also, but she said these (feast)are to remember what Jesus has done, then she reminded me of the Zechariah 14 verse and it just seems i have lost her. Help?
6 | are we to observe all feast days? | Zech 14:16 | DocTrinsograce | 159634
Dear Sunny, Pray for her, while you continue to walk in obedience to the Word. We are all very susceptible to legalism. If she truly belongs to the Lord, He will draw her to Himself. We'll all be in prayer for your friend. In Him, Doc |
