1 | What does it mean to "mourn by itself?" | Zech 12:12 | JCrichton | 156759 | ||
Hi, cooldamashai! I read this in reference to 12:10--the sorrow felt by one and all because of their great loss (rejection of Christ) and their pending demise... usually a nations sorrow is felt by one and all and the people gather to morn together as a whole... this affliction is so great that they will suffer individually as they will morn individually for the loss is greater than ever felt before... It points, to me, to Salvation: though we are called to unity in the Body, it is an private event, known only by God and the particular individual... much like our personal failures or successes in Christ! God Bless! Angel |
