Hello oneness holy, There are two ways I can think of: 1) Jonah is mentioned in 2 Kings 14:25. We would therefore state he was an actual person--especially when coupled with #2. 2) In Matt 12:29-41, Jesus uses Jonah as an historical example of those who repented at God's word, even stating that these same Ninevites would condemn the Jewish leaders which would be impossible if this was allegory.
