1 | Presence of God | Amos 1:1 | Verne8 | 51697
I heard a sermon last night that I don't totally agree with. Therefore, I am seeking wise counsel in this matter. It was said that since we have the Holy Spirit living within us at all times it is unnecessary/wrong/inappropriate to ever ask for the presence of God to fill, say, a sanctuary for a time of worship since He is already there. Any thoughts pro or con would be most appreciated. I just want to know the truth. Blessings, Verne
2 | Presence of God | Amos 1:1 | notnow | 51698
Luke 1:15 "He will be filled with the holy spirit even from his mother's womb. It is never inappropriate to prayer in the name of Jesus and it's never wrong to ask Jesus to be with or the group praying. I can't believe anyone would object to asking God to be with you in prayer. If you were walking into a scary place would you not ask Jesus to be with you for strength ? God's spirit is within all of us but we must seek him out and worship him |
