compudex - I rise in defense of Emmaus. ..... Kalos in Post #111490 has made some statements with all of which I fully agree, and add the following comments. Your filing a denominational complaint against Emmaus is warranted only if you file a denominational complaint against yourself and against all other users of this Forum, for this reason: No one can make any comment or any exegesis on any part of Scripture without giving, to a greater of lesser degree, his biased opinion. You see Scripture, as do I, through the eyes of a Protestant. Emmaus is a Roman Catholic and his orientation is therefore Catholic. Now if you view Emmaus' references to CATHOLIC sources as rising to the level of, to quote the Lockman blurb at the top of the home page, "pushing one's denominational bias," you are duty bound for honesty's and fairness' sakes to report to Lockman a denominational complaint on every single user who has ever recommended a PROTESTANT web site or who has ever cited or quoted from a commentary or study Bible written by a PROTESTANT. Your complaint of Emmaus on "denominational" grounds is frankly ridiculous. I suggest you get off your high horse, offer Emmaus an apology, and behave yourself on this forum. If you don't feel disposed to agree with a word written by a Catholic Christian, that is your choice and your problem. If you don't wish to learn any theology from Emmaus, that also is your choice. But you could learn something about patience, kindness, brotherly love, and Christian charity, tolerance, and forgiveness from him. --Hank | ||||||

Justme, TommyS, Kalos, Hank, Thank you to all who have come to my defense. Compudex has made his point and I have made mine. I am inclined to just move on to other matters. Emmaus |

Emmaus: You are correct, you can't get turnips from a dead Arkansas mule. Or something like that. Peace and kindness be upon you. justme |
