God's day to you, Kaggst, Antiochus Epiphanes sacrificed a pig on the altar in the Temple in Jerusalem. This event is called the "abomination of desolation." It will happen again (Mar 13:14). He also set up an altar to Zeus over the altar of burnt offerings. The books Maccabees, part of the Apocrypha, do not include these events, which I learned.
