1 | Stones of Fire? | Ezek 28:14 | Mommapbs | 222352 | ||
What are these stones of fire? This is where Lucifer walked and yet in vv. 16,17 God cast him from the midst of the stones of fire to the ground. |

Thanks Doc - both man and angels are created beings and both have volition, Angels dwelt in the immediate presence of God; man was visited by God. Both sinned yet only man is redeemable. Does this reference have any bearing on why the angelic realm is not? What are your thoughts? Thanks, In Him, momma |

Hi, Momma... I do not think that we should say that "only man is redeemable" (sic) for that would imply that there is something in his nature that permitted redemption. Instead, rather than speak in this context of the nature of men or angels, but of the providence of God. There are elect men and there are elect angels. However, angelic election prevented their fall. Angels do not have a federal head, but were created en masse. Those that fell did so as an individual choice. In that sense, their fall was similar to Adam. However, as the federal head of humanity, his fall was imputed to all his descendants. By His own choice, God actively intercedes in the lives of the elect, having imputed their sin to Christ and imputing them His righteousness to them. Subsequent to regeneration, the believer responds in obedience to Christ, because he is one of Christ's own. Jesus answered them, "I told you, and you do not believe; the works that I do in My Father's name, these testify of Me. But you do not believe because you are not of My sheep. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. I and the Father are one." (John 10:25-30 NASB) Volition is one thing... but moral ability is something else altogether. Every creature has volition to one degree or another. Each always and ever functions in ways that are consistent with their nature. In Him, Doc PS I hope that you are doing well. As often as the Lord puts you on my mind, I pray for you. |

Thanks Doc - I appreciate your insight. Thank you also for your concern. I am happy to say that I am marking 3 years in remission. Although I am cancer free - at times I am not free of cancer. But God is patient with me, teaching me about His faithfulness - How thankful I am that His is not dependent upon mine! God is so good to me. Oh how He loves us. Blessings to you and yours! momma |
