2 | Sealed deed vs open deed? | Jer 32:14 | Asis | 87020 | ||
This is the secular version. In the time of Jeremiah two deeds were written. One was placed in a jar and sealed to keep it from decay. It was usually buried on the property. The other was left "open" for all to see and to use day to day. If it was destroyed or ruined than the sealed one was available to take its place. Kind of like a safe deposit box. Paraphrased from C.F. KEIL and F. DELITZSCH commentary on Jeremiah. Spiritually Eph 1:13 ???????????? |
