Hi joel k, Thank you for answering. I appreciate that you were able to use your shift key to capitalize resting in Him, that is, the crucified One. (Or, as you say the Crucified). I don't know how much we can discuss this question which I look at as a question of capitalization since you have a different, may I say lazy style in lower case. As for the question of present, future, or past, it seems that you are saying that we must all determine that for ourselves? So for us that would leave the present or future. How about the word, literally "fill", in Jeremiah 31:25. In the NASB "refresh", in the NKJ "satiated", it is the idea of being satisfied. Are we satisfied with knowledge, (the spirit of knowledge) or do we think that we are big enough to hold Him, even the Living Water? From the heart, Ray |

Ray ... Hello, I would like to tell you that you are a Ray. That is ... a ray ... of hope. I have always been overly analitical, and when I read your profile, I was moved by your nature of being content. When I focus on someones age and social events of their lifetime, I always get a better veiw of their behavior or the reason for their behavior. ( I'm not sure I said what I mean by that , but it's close) Your education in the social arts probably gives you understanding of my statement anyway. I admire and respect you for many things; you're a veteran, a man of the Word and the son of a man of the Word. You served our country, even in the face of revolutions and evolving government. You dedicated yourself to get an education and your record speaks for itself on issuse such as marrige and family. I see much honor for you ---the baby in your family. I am also the youngest of 6 children. 5 brothers, 1 sister. I find this to be an interesting and somewhat hidden occurance, that many of us who are the least among our siblings tend to wear it like a badge. Or I should say that we at least tend to hold some sort of signifigance in our rank as to it's molding of our life and behaviors. My story is much different. Born in 1963, the youngest son of a man who was the last link on the chain of our name. I grew up in Texas where I have stayed. I've never had to serve or pay any price for the right to be free, and I thank YOU for that. We were poor, and not a Christian family, so I've seen much disfuntionalism, and, like the scriptures say, I have come from the empty way of life handed down from my forefathers. I was the first to come to Christ, but thanks to the works of the Holy Spirit we now have ministers and musicians mixed in with the ones that have yet to surrender to God the Redeemer and Ancor of my soul. Though troubles rise in the midst of my being, I can continually trust God and Thank Him, because with out Jesus I could not escape the cords of my sins that hold me to the horror of reality. joel k |
