Searcher, sorry I don't know how my reply to you became 3 dots, but I will send you my thoughts again. It was not I who called the Sabbath the Lord's Holy Day, it was Isaiah in Isaiah 58:13. Isaiah did this not because the Lord established the Sabbath as holy in the law of Moses, but God made the Sabbath holy on the seventh day of creation. Now if God make the Sabbath holy, who can make it no longer holy? Silly question, only God can change what God has established. If anyone knows where in the Bible God removes that distinction from the Sabbath, I would love to know about it. I am not talking about assumptions where one supposition becomes the only possible conclusion. The fact that many here have jumped to the conclusion I am trying to change what day we worship is a perfect example of our inability to judge correctly. I would never suggest such a thing. If one were to ask me, Richard what day do you think we should be worshiping? I would reply, well every day of course, for that is what the New Testament Christians did and is the desire the Holy Spirit has put in me. What could be better than to be able to just walk down the street to the local gathering of Christians every day after work and join into the singing of psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Yes I am a dreamer. | ||||||
