1 | Is God going somewhere? | Is 55:6 | steph | 28206
I'm not sure of the context of this passage. I'm not clear on '...while he may be found;', and '...while he is near.'?? The inference is that God is not going to be? Or is it talking about seeking Him when our heart is longing for Him?

Greetings steph! I believe that this passage in Isaiah goes right along with the passage in 2 Chronicles 15:2-4 and 15:12-15. I believe that we must seek God with all of our hearts while we still have the chance, while we are living in these bodies and have the opportunity for salvation in His name. Even though we have salvation and eternal life, the promise of salvation and eternal life is still yet to come. Therefore, we must abandon all to God (not out of desperation or confusion), but to show confidently that we are assured of the promises that our Lord has made to us, and that we must fulfill what is prophecied about us that we will be totally His (knowing His voice) and wiped clean from every stain. Blessings to you, Nolan |
