1 | Why replace a wolf for a lion | Is 54:10 | 1947kjones@sbcglobal.net | 196681
I know this is a small matter or so it seems but to saw a beautiful painting in the bible bookstore of a mighty lion and a gental lamb. Why wouldn't a beautiful wolf work as well. It seems it is one more thing that non believers can pick up on. Is it just not important.

Hello K, Welcome to the Forum! The Lion, and the Lamb, are symbols of Christ; in RevĀ 5:5 Jesus Christ is represented as the Lion of Judah, the concurring Lion that is worthy to open the seals and the book, "and one of the elders *said to me, "Stop weeping; behold, the Lion that is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so as to open the book and its seven seals." In Is 53:7, scripture, speaks of the Christ that was to come and take away our sins as the perfect sacrifice, humble, and pure, he was led like a lamb to the cross where He would suffer and die for our sins. "He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth." God bless John |
