Hi, THE EARTH WILL BE DESTROYED AGAIN Further to my post in connection with the above, may I now solicit your comments on the following: Gen.9:11 "...never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth" But the earth will be consumed by fire vide 2Peter3:7. What is the difference between destruction by flood and by fire?In both ways, the earth will be totally destroyed-the end result will be the same. Your comments, please. With Love in Christ. The Earth was not totally destroyed, the righteous were saved. 1 Peter 3 20who disobeyed long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, 21and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also--not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge[1] of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, What this means is, as surly as the wicked will be destroyed, the righteous will be saved. 2 Peter 3 6By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. 7By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men. These verses give the believer hope in a hopeless world Isaiah 43 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. philemcc |
