Well, the first bit of wisdom is that I have learned that I will not be the only person to post on this verse. :-) Actually, I've sometimes used this reference at the bottom of a letter, in a card, or on an envelope. My sense of humor sometimes strays a bit off onto the odd side. |

DocTrinsograce: Your posts on this verse remind me of a Note I posted a long time ago, in which I cited Luke 14:2 in the KJV. This is what I wrote: 'No, I neither could nor would quote 2 Peter 2:20 to prove Eternal Security...I would no more use 2 Peter 2:20 in support of Eternal Security than you would use Luke 14:2 (KJV) to prove Eternal Insecurity.' Grace to you, kalos |

Good reposte, kalos! I like it! Another one that reveals the truth well from time to time is, "You say you have studied scripture in detail? Then you must recall the words of Paul in Romans chapter 17. It is easy to remember since the same notion is found in Ephesians 7." :-) Yeah, I agree... that's kind of a dirty trick. I like your example a lot better! :-) | ||||||
