1 | Is MLM against scripture | Prov 11:1 | Makarios | 59656
Greetings CG1970, If you own or take part in a business, then your business would do well to be diligent (Prov. 13:4), trustworthy (1 Cor. 4:2), have dignity (1 Tim. 2:2), and integrity (Prov. 11:1). By abiding by these virtues and honoring the Lord with your profit as well as with your life, then you stand a much better opportunity of gaining the Lord's favor and having Him work through your business. An example of the "model" business relationship can be found in Matthew 25:21, where the master puts the slave in charge of many things, based on his faithfulness and responsibility. Ruth 2:4 is an excellent example where Boaz treats his workers with kindness. Ephesians 6:5-9 paints a clear picture of how Scripture defines successful leadership in business (and successful workers). Leadership in business succeeds where a worker's rights are understood and agreed upon beforehand (Matthew 20:10). However, there are many instances of abuse in business affairs, including: Genesis 30:37-43, Proverbs 37:21, Nehemiah 5:1-13, Deut. 24:6-13, Proverbs 22:16, and Mark 12:1-9. Is MLM against the Scriptural principles that were pointed out above? I do not know. But I do believe that with good leadership, based upon the Bible, a "boss" will place himself in a much more improved position to succeed! Blessings to you, Makarios |

2 | Is MLM against scripture | Prov 11:1 | Makarios | 59657
Greetings CG1970, I apologize, there is no such Scripture as "Proverbs 37:21"... The Scripture verse that I meant to refer to was Proverbs 3:21, that speaks of "sound judgment and discernment." Blessings to you, Makarios |
