2 | Capital Punishment: Command or Option?? | Gen 9:6 | Mathew | 84247 | ||
Portland, Good Questions! Gen.9:6 does give Gods ok on the shedding of mans blood after they have sheds mans blood in my weak opinion. But the legal ban on capital punishment does not make Gods morals change. The Bible seems to ok it, but no longer condones it if the law of the land does not permit it. Isa 9:6 For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the GOVERNMENT shall be on His shoulder; and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The PRINCE OF PEACE. Rom 5:13 for until the Law sin was in the world, but sin is NOT IMPUTED when there is no law. No sin is greater than the next, and he who is without sin should cast the first stone. According to this scripture only Jesus Christ on whom the government rest, could judge the heart and cast the first stone. But we live by the sword and die by the sword, and must obey the law of the land. |
