Hi, THE EARTH WILL BE DESTROYED AGAIN Further to my post in connection with the above, may I now solicit your comments on the following: Gen.9:11 "...never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth" But the earth will be consumed by fire vide 2Peter3:7. What is the difference between destruction by flood and by fire?In both ways, the earth will be totally destroyed-the end result will be the same. Your comments, please. With Love in Christ. As stated in the previous post concerning the rainbow. The promise is that God will not destroy every living thing with one judgement. That is not what happens when the earth is destroyed. The people of earth suffer great judgements of billions under the judgements in revelation. But they do not all get wiped out by anyone particular one or even all of them combined. The earth does not just vaporize one day while people are running about being wicked. The judgments of Revelation are poured out, but many remain alive. They enter into the final judgement after the 1000 year reign with Christ on the earth. After the final destinies of all men are settled and the wicked are removed leaving only those with eternal life does the earth get dissolved. | ||||||
