What was the grace Noah found? Heb 11:7 says Noah put his faith to work, He just did not beleive. So how do we put this together? Thanks Jim

Greetings Jim! Good guestion! I just had one question for you though! Where did Heb. 11:7 say that Noah didn't believe? I checked, but I never saw it. Are you maybe refering to another verse? Thanks! Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

3 | Is active grace really faith | Gen 6:8 | jim | 9292
Hi Tim I didnot mean he didn't believe. Some folk seem to think all we must do is beleive, if Noah had JUST beleived he would have drowned. He did something with his beleive. He did believe what God said, but did faith alone save him? Jim |

4 | Is active grace really faith | Gen 6:8 | Morant61 | 9304
Greetings Jim! Thanks for the clarification! My short answer would be that of James. Faith alone saves, but faith then produces action in our lives. James was concerned about people who said they had faith, but there was no corresponding change in their behavior. So, Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord because He believed God. Then, because he believed God, he did what God said. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |

Tim, great answer. It also fits with Hebrews 11:1, which leads into this passage. Faith being sure and certain. It requires no action. But, because of faith, Noah and others took action. Steve |
