1 | Gen 6:7 and Num 23:19 contradictory? | Gen 6:7 | prayon | 9245
Nolan, the closest I can get to answer you is this from the International Bible Commentary - Scripture sometimes speaks of God changing his mind (English versions say repenting) but this is God's unmovedness while others move and change. The divine finger ever points to the same spot but man has moved from it to the opposite pole.
2 | Gen 6:7 and Num 23:19 contradictory? | Gen 6:7 | Makarios | 9275
Thank you prayon for trying to answer this question! You are absolutely right- God does not change, it is man who changes.. And this may be the reason why the Bible states that God said that He "was sorry" that He made humans. He knew the potential that humans had for evil, but never does He 'repent' in the sense of what we understand the word 'repent' to mean.. God never changes. Your thoughts are always welcome, prayon!
