I was just confused as to why Abel wasn't referenced to being "in his image". The "his own likeness" isn't capitalized, so I am assuming that it is talking about Adam's. | ||||||

Dear Rose, Yes, that's correct. John Gill states, "The Jewish writers understand this in a good sense, of Seth being like to Adam in goodness, when Cain was not." Since the phrase is stated twice in this chapter, I'd say that it is there for purposes of contrast. In Him, Doc |
