Greetings Azure! Steve and Doc gave good answers! Here is some more information to consider: When reading genealogies in scripture, many times they tend to be more 'representative' than 'complete.' Case in point: Ruth 4:18-22. Another thing to consider is that Genesis 5:1-32 connects Adam (in verse 1) to Noah (in verse 32). Therefore, I believe that the author was intentional in trying to link Adam to Noah, whose family was the only one to survive the flood. Blessings to you, Makarios |
