Why was Cain's offering unacceptable to God (Gen 4)? I know of the reference in Heb 11:4, where the writer says that it was not offered in faith, but how does he know that? | ||||||

I’m under the impression that most fruits are grown in trees and not on the ground. When I read this, I get the impression that Cain picked up a piece of fruit off the ground and gave it to God. No consideration in his gift what so ever. Rather Cain picked up the fruit off the ground or not, I still believe that he wasn’t to considerate of his gift to God, I do not believe that his attitude was right. Where is the sacrifice in a piece of fruit?? Able on the other hand gave the firstfruit of his flock with the right attitude. Now THERE is a sacrifice that meets Godly Standards. I really do not think that the bible stipulates why God rejected Cains gift. Fact of the matter is He did. And the writer of Hebrews, how does he know?? “All scripture is given by inspiration of God…” II Tim. 3:16 The CurtMan |
