C.S.M. greetings, This is huge and something that a lot of us have never given serious thought. If Adam and Eve had eaten of the tree of life they would have been eternally lost. In doing so God ensured the progress of his plan for his peopleand us today. What God did had nothing to do with fear and everything to to do with His love for us and his ability to carry through on all his plans. In Christ, lionheart |

Perhaps someone has already answered this, but access to the tree of life was done in mercy, so that man would not live forever in a body racked by sin, sickness, and torment. In Revelations men wish to die and are not able. What an awful place to be. God did not leave man. He spoke to them after the Garden. But, he didn't want them to eat and (according to Gen. 3:22) live forever in that state. Redemption gave us a new spirit, and later will give us a new body too. Be blessed. | ||||||
