Hi, Strikerredleg! I find this Biblical verse the most impacting prophecy about the spiritual battle that has begun! There are many who would want to interpret mankind as the seed; thus giving us dominion over Satan--are we God? Revelation 12:1-17 is the expanded version of Genesis 3:15. Read both Bible passages and compare them: the ancient serpent cannot be defeated but by Christ! The attact on our Lord's lower exremity is a typification of Satan's attack on the temporal Church: "Then the dragon was enraged with the woman and went away to make war on the rest of her children, who obey God's commandments and have in themselves the witness of Jesus." (Revelation 12:17) As Christians, we represent Christ; but we can never be His substitutes. God Bless! |
