Scripture ... Gen 25:19,26, 31-34; 27:1-46; 21:19-31:2; 32:24- ... Beth, Jacob (ya'aqob) wrestled (ye'aqeb) by Jabbok (yabboq). He had been wrestling Easu or Laban his whole life ... and in a way, God. He wanted things his way. I think it was literal, because he had to limp afterwards. Hope this helps, Searcher |
