1 | Adam and Eve ashamed of their nakedness? | Gen 2:25 | heisthe1 | 42793 | ||
Praise God, good question, and here is some insight. Before the fall, Adam and Eve, Gen 2:25, were both naked, "and not ashamed". The idea of nakedness is far more than mere nudity, it has the sense of being totally open and exposed as a person before God and man. To be naked and "not ashamed" means that you have no sin. Nothing to be rightly ashamed of - you really can be an open book to another person. Genesis 3:7, satans temptation was all the more powerful because there was truth in it. It was true that "your eyes will be opened, and this was fulfilled in this verse, but their eyes were instantly opened to their own sin and rebellion. Thank God for being free. |
