1 | Creation: Written as Prose or Poetry? | Gen 2:1 | Jethro | 29444 | ||
The first five books of the Bible are known as the Torah. When Jesus said not one jot nor one title shall be changed., He was speaking of Torah. If you take a Torah from Ethiopia and one from New York City, they are exactly the same. The Torah is filled with the Mysticism of God. It is not "just some" group of books, it IS the Word of God. I have studied Torah since a child and Genesis is the most exciting book in the Hebrew language. For instance, Bereshit, the Hebrew word for Genesis, means "from with His head, She created." It is very difficult within this forum to explain Hebraic word meanings it takes much study. But let me leave you with Gen 1:2-"And the earth "was" without form.." The word translated "was" is actually "became" (check Strong's #1961) and this changes the whole meaning of the Bible. I hope this helps a little. NEVER take the scriptures as anything but the Word of God. It may be mistranslated so be a workman that can rightly, correctly discern the Word of God. Boruch HaShem! (Praise the Name) |
